Welcome 2014! This is going to be our year :-)
And as usual, we celebrated our New Year's Eve with out
traditional rituals: a mixure of
Philippine and German traditions. (See photos)

Watching 'Dinner for One' |

On the table are things that are supposed to bring us luck: 13 rounded fruits, a Bleigissen kit, table fireworks, pig-shaped marzipan treats, ladybug chocolates. |
|
Of course, raclette for dinner, composed of assorted cheese, meat and seafood, bread and chopped veggies. There's Sekt and kiddie red and white wine for the girls. |
|
IC's rirtual, teasing Rikki so she won't get bored and to keep her from going crazy due to the noise outside :-)

Bleigiessen afterwards. |
We were up until 3 a.m. though how I managed to keep up with my family, I don't know. All I know is that this year, I stayed inside the house with the guise of keeping the dog company during the explosion of fireworks. Thing is, I wanted to watch the fireworks from
the top our balcony. And wow, it was something else. Sorry, I wasn't able to take photos, but I assure you, I got an exclusive view on how the world exploded in color. Real cool!
