Tuna Macaroni Salad

Tuna Macaroni Salad with Fruits and German Farm Bread
There are a lot of Tuna Macaroni Salad recipes in the internet but I skipped most of them because of the Italian salad dressing listed on the ingredient.

I am not familiar with Italian salad dressing since I don’t buy packaged salad dressings and our usual salad dressing mostly involves vinaigrette with touches of herbs and spices from our garden.

Therefore, I decided to re-create the Tuna andApple Sandwich recipe and add a little twist (leaving the apple behind though it ended up as a side dish).

Here’s the very easy Tuna Macaroni Salad

Ingredients:
250 grams Macaroni Noodles
1 canned tuna (150 grams), drained
1 cup mayonnaise
50 grams chopped pickles
2 teaspoons lemon or calamansi juice
½  cups chopped bell peppers (I used an orange bell pepper)
2 teaspoons chopped chives (if desired)
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:
Cook macaroni as directed on the package, rinse with cold water and drain. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together then add the macaroni. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour to blend the flavors.

Serve with a side dish of your choice. The girls love their Tuna Macaroni Salad on an iceberg lettuce with loads of fruit slices and a slice of dark bread.
