A Photo Review: Brekers Restaurant in Callantsoog, The Netherlands

We decided to go to the Bekers Restaurant for our 12th wedding anniversary dinner during our vacation in Callantsoog this summer break.

Bekers Restaurant is located in Helmweg 9, 1759 Callantsoog, The Netherlands.

What impressed us about the restaurant? Well, I admit, seeing the restaurant's name plastered in most holiday brochures and posters around town intrigued me already. And then it was pure chance that we passed the restaurant when we were looking for the nearest grocery store.

I was impressed by the place plus the fact that they have a big porch area where costumers could enjoy dining el aire libre. Then when we stopped to check the extensive menu card, the mouthwatering items sealed the deal.

That area behind the door is the playground cum entertainment area
 for the kids and you see the parrot on the extreme right side?
Yes, it's an added attraction, too.

This is my order and I can't remember the
name of the dish anymore but I remember it's wonderful taste!

We entered the restaurant through the bar area (yes, they have a huge bar, too) and stayed in the bar's premise, too. The place was packed but the service was fast and friendly. Prices are comparable.

Sadly, we could not sit outside because the weather was not agreeable that time but we had a comfortable corner with our dog, Rikki, having a long snooze under the table while we dined.

A piano player and a singer also entertained us that night.

Of course, and I will mention this again, dogs are allowed or else we would not be dining in Bekers at all.
