Dog Treats: Spinach Biscuits

Spinach Dog Biscuits

We have more than enough spinach in the backyard garden this year. I decided to harvest and use the spinach as much as I can -- therefore, there are always spinach in our menu. Including, our dog's treats: thus Rikki is getting spinach biscuits, mixed with his other treats, these past days.

Spinach is good for dogs. It has high vitamin and iron content. No worries! I am sharing the recipe here:

Ingredients for Spinach Dog Biscuit:

2 1/2 flour
1/2 c milk (or substitute with 1/4-1/2 c water)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 large beaten egg
2-4 tbsp chicken or beef stock
a handful of chopped spinach leaves

The unbaked spinach dog biscuit

Preparation:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. Mix all the dry ingredients. Add the spinach, flavoring, beaten egg and combine.
3. Mix into a stiff dough. Then form into inch balls.
4. Bake for 20- 25 minutes.

It is a good thing that Rikki loves spinach.

Here's a liver cookie recipe for dogs.
