A Glimpse of Keltendorf (Celts Village) in Steinach am Donnersberg

Of course, IC's class is also planning an outing this coming school year just like MCs. Their chosen place is Steinbach am Donnersberg, which is the highest peak in the region of Rheinland-Pfalz.

What's funny is that we could see the  said mountain from our house located in the region of Baden-Württemberg :-) Yes, we live in the boondocks.

We drove to Steinbach to check out the youth hostel but we ended up fascinated by Keltendorf Steinbach, located nearby.

Although the Celts Village was closed, we found ways to take a peek. If there's a will...there are pictures!

Actually, we chose to take a stroll around the village. To clarify, we went for a short hike along a field outside the village.
After a short stroll, we could still see the tower

There is also a Family Day and Kiddie Day. The next Kiddie Celts Village Day is on October 9 at 15 Euro per Child. The program  includes bow and arrow construction, archery, weaving, clay and copper crafts, etc.
Afterwards, we tried to follow the directional signs to the Celts Garden. But after a few false turns, the girls begged their Papa to please take the car. We did.

Good decision because it was a bit of a stroll, too. As expected, the Celts Garden is also closed.

No need to be disappointed, especially IC, who is now very excited. She cannot wait for their school outing to begin. She has something to look forward to.

Now, we are all excited for IC. I am sure she would have fun. I am sure she would bring home loads of stories and maybe, her bags would be filled with her very own hand-crafted things, as she loves crafts. I am sure this would be another highlight for her.

What about us? Well, we just have to wait for out turn during the Family Day next year!
Now here is a photo taken from IC's room. From her window, on a clear day, she could see Donnersberg.
We told her she could wave from us from there once she's up there with her schoolmates :-)
