Afritada

What happened if you dont have any menu's planned yet you have chopped meat thawing?

Something like the photo. I dont know what to call it, really. It looks like Afritada but it is not. Let me call it, ala Afritada.

How did I end up with this?

Because we needed to eat; there is no chance of going to a restaurant or calling for a delivery as the kids are already too tired; and most importantly, I was desperate to eat something with rice :-)

Ingredients:

half a kilo chopped meat
a cup of chopped carrots
2 cups of frozen mixed vegetable (I used a pack with peas, corn, beans and baby carrots)
salt and pepper
half cube of Maggi bouillon
1 tsp Wela sauce
1 tsp flour
1 cup of hot water

Preparation:
1. Fry the chopped meat until golden brown. Add the carrots and the mixed veggies, stir.
2. In a mixing cup put the wela sauce, the flour, the maggi bouillon and add hot water. Stir until completely dissolved.
3. Pour the mixture in the pot and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste.

As said, rice is the good company for this ala Afritada. Guten Apetit!
