Hailstorm
Photos: 1 - A handful of hailstone 2 - front yard 3 - garden 4 - kids in pajamas
We have been experiencing extreme weather condition for the past weeks. But we are still feeling lucky that we were spared flooding and property damages unlike other places in Germany.
Of course, the other side of this, the kids are really on watch now. They are not afraid of the thunder and lighting; they find them interesting and cool!
Such that when there was a sudden hailstorm yesterday, instead of staying inside, they went outside wearing their pajamas! I cant blame them, I was also fascinated by the cherry-sized hailstones plunking into the street and covering the grass. In a few seconds, the grass turned white with hailstones. I run to grab my camera.
My husband went into the street to gather a handful. The kids were thrilled to touch them and to grab some of them, although they cannot hold on to them so long as it was too cold. (They are wearing summer pajamas). Other people came out to check on their cars parked outside. They reported no real damage, though.
And I? I got some good shots that I am sharing, too.
