Our version of Chili Con Carne

For yesterday's hurried dinner, I served one of our family's all time favorite dish - Chili con Carne.

Our own version, because as explained before, my youngest is still suspicious when it comes to eating something spicy. We dont include the chilies. So this is actually - Red Beans con Carne!

Ingredients:
1 pc. chopped onion
500 g. minced meat
1 can red beans, drained
1 pc. maggi cube
1 can tomato sauce
1 cup grated cheese
a pinch of salt
some pepper

Preparation:

1. Fry the onions. Add the minced meat, cook until golden brown, stirring constantly. Add the tomato sauce. Let boil.
2. Put the maggi cube. Add the red beans, then salt and pepper.
3. Cook in medium heat for another 15 mins. Before serving, add the grated cheese.

The side dish varies from the much loved rice, the much loved pasta or the much loved tortilla bread!

Today we forego of salad as our dinner was already late. We had rice because we were all famished. And I cooked this dish because it is really the simpliest and the easiest to do.

A good choice, huh!
